#1. ACCESSABILITY

This program is offered to students of all majors within Boston University as well as outside institutions. The educational benefits and experiences are applicable for all.

Piazza Dei Signori - Padova, Italy

Boston University's Study Abroad program offers a 4 credit, 4 week long class titled Mediterranean Diet (though if you ask the professor, it should be called the Mediterranean Lifestyle). The short-term schedule of this class is attractive in itself for those who get homesick or just have commitment issues to go abroad for a full semester. Let's not forget the course content focusing on lifestyle which in turn results in several field trips and paid for excursions (because after all - we're still broke college students).

A major enticement of this program is the availability.

This program is open to many other institutions besides BU students. In fact, just in the summer of 2019, we had 4 different institutions represented. Furthermore, the classroom teaches concepts that are applicable to all types of majors. Referencing this past summer again, there are majors such as nutrition, computer science, physical therapy, health science, business, and hospitality.

Outside of an academic stand point, this program is also a very good option for college athletes that cannot study abroad during the fall/spring semester. The short duration of the program allows athletes to not be away from the field/court/ice for that long. Additionally, there are local gyms you can pay for the month to workout!

The versatility and accessibility of this program is one many of the amazing reasons why you should pursue this opportunity.
